Here is a video of my senator, Jeff Sessions, speaking about why Elena Kagan is a dangerous candidate for the Supreme Court. His reasoning is sound.
Formerly, Mr Sessions had voted to approve Obama candidates for several positions, such as Eric Holder for Attorney General. This was very disappointing to me. When I wrote to him to express my dissatisfaction, he replied in letter that the President does have authority to pick his choice for these posts. Elections have consequences, if you will.
I am glad to see that his mind has hardened against Obama appointees.
The story, by Globalist News, shows cronies for California’s Mike Gatto expelling press from a public townhall meeting in a public library. Gatto is on California’s Assembly. What’s the big deal? Well, this little thing we call the First Amendment protects the press the right to operate.
Congress shall make no law…abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press…
Citizen, be weary of any elected official who places his demands over the law.
*Warning – there is one expletive near the end of the clip*
I heard this on a news blip yesterday evening and my jaw dropped. A town in California, Bell, was paying three of their administrators over $1.5 million a year in salary. This fact, once publicized, caused such an outrage that they have all resigned. One man was bringing in a salary of nearly $800,000 a year.
This does go to show you the things government will do if you are not watching them.
This video is from last night’s edition of Hannity. He shows footage of an ABC interview with President O, in which O claims his finances have suffered too. I seriously doubt this will console the millions of Americans who are without work.
